Job summary

Institut Curie is one of Europe’s leading cancer and biomedical research centers, with a hospital and a research campus. The CellAction unit at Curie develops cell and gene therapies, model systems, and GMP‑ready production processes for clinical use.

This six‑month contract role is based at the Saint‑Cloud site with full‑time hours and a competitive salary. We seek a Master’s degree holder with 2–5 years in cell/gene therapy process development, strong English, and scientific rigor.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, or related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in process development (cell therapy, gene therapy, or drug development).
• Proficiency in aseptic mammalian cell culture; experience with T-cell culture preferred.
• Knowledge of CQAs and analytical characterization for cell/gene therapy products.
• Knowledge of GMP environment and regulatory expectations desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English; French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, optimize, and adapt manufacturing processes for cell and gene therapies.
• Develop analytical methods for product characterisation, viability, purity, and potency.
• Monitor critical process parameters and product quality attributes.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, communicate results, and troubleshoot.
• Prepare technical reports, SOPs, and development documentation in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes, reduce costs, and increase efficiency.
• Stay up to date with emerging technologies in cell and gene therapy.
