Malt, Europe’s leading freelance marketplace, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer to shape our technical direction, architecture, and execution from our Paris office. You will lead high-impact backend projects, set technical vision, and mentor engineers while driving product-focused engineering improvements.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, robust systems and advocate for engineering excellence in a rapidly growing company.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of software development experience in a product company (SaaS/fintech/marketplace).
• Proficiency in Java or Kotlin and deep backend API/data model knowledge.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and ability to drive engineering culture.

Responsabilités

• Lead high-impact projects spanning multiple teams or systems.
• Architect scalable, robust software solutions and systems.
• Define short- and long-term technical strategy and roadmaps.
