Waters Corporation in France is seeking an Automation Specialist Account Manager to lead a full‑time field sales effort, designing strategic plans to drive the automation portfolio across pharma, biopharma, CROs, biotech, and related labs.
You will present and sell Waters' Andrew+ and Onelab solutions, manage the sales funnel, forecast accurately in CRM, and travel within your territory to deliver seminars, demos, and education that accelerate adoption of automation products and services.
This role is a full‑time field sales position within a dynamic, high‑performance Automation sales team. As an Automation Specialist Account Manager at Waters, you will design and implement a strategic sales plan that drives sales of our full range of automation products and services. You will be a driven and dynamic individual, fast learner, and avid networker with strong communication skills, capable of thinking strategically yet excelling at tactical implementation.
Your key responsibilities include:
Ensuring the health of your automation territory – Engaging proactively with new and existing accounts across biopharma, CROs, biotech, and select academic and industrial organisations. This includes customer visits, on‑site seminars or demonstrations, and identifying opportunities to automate workflows.
Managing and developing your sales pipeline – Reviewing year‑to‑date performance, monitoring opportunities at each funnel stage, managing lead‑to‑opportunity conversion, and ensuring accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene.
Building future pipeline and expanding market penetration – Identifying emerging opportunities where automation can deliver process improvements, engaging customers early in their workflow evaluation, and driving adoption of Waters’ automation instruments, accessories, software, and services.
Being an Automation Specialist Account Manager involves travel across your assigned region and offers flexibility in planning customer engagements, structuring your week, and prioritising high‑value opportunities.
This role offers visibility across a broad range of customers at different stages of digital and laboratory transformation. You will gain significant exposure to automation projects and cross‑functional teams, developing commercial, technical, and strategic skillsets. Future career pathways may include progression into systems sales, marketing, or more advanced technical roles.
