CoW DAO is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to own and evolve the off-chain services and auction core. You will work on high-performance Rust backends, interact with Solidity contracts, and help shape the next generation of decentralised trading protocols.

You will join a remote-first team with a preference for Europe, enjoying flexible work arrangements, token plans, and opportunities for growth in a fast-paced DeFi environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of production experience with systems-level languages.
• 3+ years of hands-on production experience using Rust.
• Practical experience in web3, DeFi and Ethereum ecosystem.

Responsabilités

• Architect and design off-chain services and core auction protocol components.
• Develop concurrent backend systems in Rust and integrate with Solidity contracts.
• Participate in on-call rotation; on-call work is compensated.
• Collaborate with researchers and product team to ship features.
• Deliver high-quality code with observability and monitoring.
• Provide thoughtful code reviews for open-source contributions.
