Crossing Hurdles is seeking a Rust Developer for a remote contract to design and optimize backend APIs, including REST and GraphQL endpoints. You will work 10-40 hrs/week on data validation, security, migrations, and AI-assisted coding with Cursor.

Collaboration with the research team via Slack and detailed incident reports is expected. Ideal candidates have strong Rust backend experience, expertise in building RESTful and GraphQL APIs, and a proven track record in database migrations and schema

Qualifications

• Have strong experience as a backend developer with Rust expertise.
• Proficient in building RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
• Deep understanding of backend data validation, error handling, and API security.
• Hands-on experience with database migrations and schema design.
• Experience using AI tools for coding; Cursor familiarity is highly desirable.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for incident reporting.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop, and optimize REST and GraphQL endpoints for scalable APIs.
• Drive data validation, error handling, and security for backend services.
• Plan and execute database migrations, optimizations, and schema changes.
• Test AI-powered models in Cursor and report findings with incidents and bugs.
• Collaborate with the research team in Slack to discuss findings and improvements.
• Submit post-burst surveys with insights on model performance and developer experience.
