Netcompany in Strasbourg seeks a seasoned IT Operations Lead to manage major incidents, drive root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions across a hybrid onsite/remote setup. You will shape monitoring, capacity planning, and automation, collaborating with DevSecOps, Architecture, and DB teams.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in enterprise IT operations with cloud-native and middleware experience, strong ITIL knowledge, and excellent English (French a plus).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field; Master’s is a plus.
• Minimum 7 years in enterprise IT operations with mission-critical apps (banking/telecom) or systems support.
• Strong ITIL knowledge across Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event, Capacity management.
• Extensive experience with Linux/Unix, containerized and cloud-native platforms.
• Proficient in observability, logging, performance monitoring, and operational analytics.
• Experience with middleware, API management, messaging, event streaming, identity management, web platforms.
• Proven ability to lead incident management, capacity planning, risk assessment, and service improvement programs.
• Excellent English; French a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead the resolution of major incidents and complex production issues, ensuring effective stakeholder communication and timely service restoration.
• Conduct and lead root cause analyses, post-incident reviews, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Define and continuously improve monitoring, observability, and operational support strategies to enhance service reliability.
• Drive proactive maintenance, operational optimization, capacity planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Validate deployment, testing, and rollback strategies in collaboration with DevSecOps, Architecture, and Database Administration teams.
• Prepare operational reports, trend analyses, capacity assessments, and service improvement recommendations.
• Lead automation and operational efficiency initiatives through scripting, tooling, and process optimization.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to support teams while fostering operational excellence.

What would make you a fit for the role

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; a Master's degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise IT operations, supporting mission-critical applications like banking or telecommunications, or systems support, including at least 3 years in a senior operations or support role.
• Deep knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event, and Capacity Management.
• Extensive experience with Linux/Unix environments, containerized and cloud-native platforms, and CI/CD ecosystems.
• Strong expertise in observability, logging, performance monitoring, and operational analytics tools.
• Proven experience supporting middleware and integration technologies, including API management, messaging, event streaming, identity management, and web platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex incident management, capacity planning, operational risk assessment, and service improvement programs.
• Excellent communication skills in English, French is an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL Intermediate/Managing Professional, advanced Linux, cloud platform, Kubernetes, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.

Benefits and Working Arrangement

• Work Arrangement: Onsite/Hybrid in Strasbourg only.
• Around 7% on-call services are expected.
• Standby Allowance and Intervention Pay are provided.
