Netcompany in Strasbourg is seeking a Senior Production Engineer (Cloud and App Ops) to lead major incidents, drive RCA, and strengthen monitoring across enterprise applications. You will collaborate with DevSecOps, Architecture, and DB teams to optimize deployment and performance.

The role emphasizes on-site/hybrid work in Strasbourg, with on-call duties and a standby allowance. Strong English skills are required; French is a plus, and ITIL certifications are highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise IT operations, with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Deep knowledge of ITIL processes: Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event, Capacity Management.
• Extensive Linux/Unix, containerized and cloud-native platforms, CI/CD ecosystems experience.
• Strong observability, logging, performance monitoring, and operational analytics exposure.
• Experience with middleware/integration technologies and API management, messaging, event streaming, identity management, web platforms.
• Excellent English; French is an advantage; professional certifications desirable.

• Define and improve monitoring, observability, and operational support strategies.

• Prepare operational reports, trend analyses and service improvement recommendations.
• Lead automation and tooling initiatives to boost efficiency.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to support teams.

So, what are the main responsibilities of a SeniorProduction Engineerin Netcompany?

As a SeniorProduction Engineer,you will:

• Lead the resolution of major incidents and complex production issues, ensuring effective stakeholder communication and timely service restoration.
• Conduct and lead root cause analyses, post-incident reviews, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Define and continuously improve monitoring, observability, and operational support strategies to enhance service reliability.
• Drive proactive maintenance, operational optimization, capacity planning, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Validate deployment, testing, and rollback strategies in collaboration with DevSecOps, Architecture, and Database Administration teams.
• Prepare operational reports, trend analyses, capacity assessments, and service improvement recommendations.
• Lead automation and operational efficiency initiatives through scripting, tooling, and process optimization.
• Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and guidance to support teams while fostering operational excellence.

What would make you a fit for the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is an advantage.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in enterprise IT operations, supporting mission-critical applications like banking or telecommunications,or systems support,including at least 3 years in a senior operations or support role.
• Deep knowledge of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, Release, Event, and Capacity Management.
• Extensive experience with Linux/Unix environments, containerized and cloud-native platforms, and CI/CD ecosystems.
• Strong expertise in observability, logging, performance monitoring, and operational analytics tools.
• Proven experience supporting middleware and integration technologies, including API management, messaging, event streaming, identity management, and web platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to lead complex incident management, capacity planning, operational risk assessment, and service improvement programs.
• Excellent communication skills in English, French is an advantage.
• Professional certifications such as ITIL Intermediate/Managing Professional, advanced Linux, cloud platform, Kubernetes, or equivalent certifications are highly desirable.

Work Arrangement: Onsite/Hybrid in Strasbourg only. Around 7% on-call services are expected.

• Standby Allowance and Intervention Pay are provided.
