IFF is seeking a Senior Process Engineer in Grasse, France, to drive the industrialization of innovative natural ingredients and support scale-up from pilot to commercial production. You will lead process design, equipment development, and technology transfer, collaborating with R&D, operations, and external partners.

You will provide technical leadership on process design, optimization, and safe, compliant operations, contributing to sustainable manufacturing solutions across global sites.

Qualifications

• Master's Degree in Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
• 10+ years of experience in process engineering within chemical, ingredients, pharmaceutical, fragrance, flavor or related industries.
• Strong expertise in process design and scale-up (distillation, evaporation, extraction, filtration, crystallization).
• Experience with heat transfer, fluid dynamics, hydraulic calculations and process equipment design.
• Knowledge of automation systems and industrial process control.
• Familiarity with mechanical, electrical and instrumentation systems.
• Demonstrated experience managing engineering projects and capital investments.
• Strong understanding of process safety and industrial compliance requirements.
• Fluency in English; French is highly desirable.

Responsabilités

• Lead the design, sizing and implementation of new process technologies and equipment.
• Drive the industrialization and scale-up of innovative technologies from laboratory and pilot scale to commercial manufacturing.
• Optimize and upgrade existing process equipment to improve performance, efficiency and sustainability.
• Conduct feasibility studies and assess technological solutions for future business needs.
• Lead supplier selection, equipment qualification, FAT/SAT activities, commissioning and start-up projects.
• Ensure the safety, reliability and regulatory compliance of process installations.
• Develop and maintain engineering documentation including PFDs, P&IDs, SOPs, technical specifications and engineering calculations.
• Support capital investment projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with R&D, Operations and Engineering teams to deliver robust and scalable manufacturing solutions.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and contribute to the development of a strong internal process engineering network across IFF sites worldwide.
