IFF in Grasse, France, seeks a Strategy & Open Innovation Lead to define and execute long-term strategic priorities for Naturals R&D and to build an external innovation ecosystem. You will partner with senior leaders across R&D, Sustainability, Procurement, Commercial, and Operations to identify opportunities, scout technologies, and create collaborations with startups, academia, and suppliers.

Based in Grasse, you will influence growth and competitive advantage across Scent, Taste, and Beauty

Qualifications

• Advanced degrees in Science, Engineering, Business, Innovation Management, or a related field.
• Significant experience in innovation, strategy, business development, partnerships, or R&D leadership roles.
• Strong understanding of natural ingredients, their supply chains, sourcing challenges, market dynamics, and innovation opportunities.
• Proven experience building and managing external collaborations and strategic partnerships.
• Strong business acumen with the ability to connect scientific innovation to commercial impact.
• Experience operating in complex, international, and cross-functional environments.
• Fluent in English.

Responsabilités

• Develop and execute long-term strategic priorities for the Naturals R&D organization.
• Build and expand a network of strategic external partnerships across academia, startups, suppliers, and industry partners.
• Lead the Naturals Open Innovation pipeline from identification to implementation.
• Scout disruptive technologies and external capabilities to accelerate innovation across Scent, Taste, and Beauty.
• Collaborate with R&D, Innovation, Sustainability, Procurement, Commercial and Operations to ensure alignment and execution.
• Prepare and present recommendations to senior leadership and executives.
