Job summary

Alan is building the new standard in prevention insurance through its Data Foundations crew. This senior backend/platform role focuses on privacy engineering and the GDPR Orchestrator, shaping data lifecycle governance across Alan’s expanding footprint.

You will own platform design and operations, collaborate with legal, security, and product teams, and drive scalable data rules across countries and domains.

Qualifications

• Senior-level experience (typically 8+ years) in backend or platform software engineering, with deep production ownership.
• You've built and operated platforms, libraries, or services that other engineers depend on.
• You can influence across many teams and align legal, security, data, and product crews toward a plan.
• You ship sound, safe solutions and improve them over time.
• Nice to have: privacy, GDPR, or data-governance exposure.
• You’re fluent in English (French is not required).

Responsibilities

• Own the privacy platform (build & run): core engine, safety mechanisms, and operational health.
• Build the paved road with docs, templates, and self-serve tooling for data rules.
• Coordinate across legal, security, data, and product areas; surface data dependencies.
• Push the foundations forward and grow the platform's capabilities as Alan expands.
