EGIDE is seeking a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to lead the embedded power and control electronics design for airborne and ground systems in Paris. You will own the power stage and its control, from components selection to production-ready documentation, coordinating with EMS partners and cross-functional teams.

You will drive design for manufacturability, support safety-critical systems, and contribute to European defense autonomy with a multi-disciplinary engineering approach.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in power electronics or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing low-voltage, high-current power electronics (48 V class and below).
• Experience with three-phase inverters and motor control for permanent magnet machines.
• Strong command of DC/DC converter topologies, control and protection.
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC constraints of switching converters and layout best practices.
• Ability to write structured engineering documentation and collaborate across interfaces.

Responsabilités

• Define power architectures and specify boards from system requirements (budgets, rails, protection).
• Design and lead power stages across the full power range (DC/DC, motor drives, energy storage, power supplies).
• Develop the control part: motor control algorithms, PWM synchronization, protection and monitoring.
• Size and select power components and perform loss, thermal, and efficiency calculations.
• Lead high-current PCB layout with proper copper, busbars, and minimization of loops.
• Plan validation: SPICE, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink, testing and qualification.
• Support manufacturing and EMS partners during industrialization and provide design data packages.
• Produce and maintain the specification package and participate in design reviews.
