EGIDE is building a new European defense leader and seeks a Senior Power Electronics Engineer to own embedded power and control electronics for airborne and ground systems. You will design power stages, motor drives, energy storage, and power supplies across a broad voltage range, coordinating with EMS partners, Munition Safety, and cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree in power electronics or electrical engineering.
• 5+ years of experience designing low-voltage, high-current power electronics (48 V class and below).
• Strong command of DC/DC converter topologies and protection/power distribution networks.
• Proven experience with three-phase inverters and motor control (FOC, sensorless).
• Experience with MOSFETs (Si, GaN), gate drivers and thermal calculations.
• Hands-on high-current PCB layout with ECAD tools.
• Familiarity with simulation tools (LTspice, PLECS, MATLAB/Simulink).
• Knowledge of EMI/EMC constraints for switching converters.

Responsabilités

• Define power architectures and specify power boards from system requirements.
• Lead design of power stages across the full power range (DC/DC, motor drives, energy storage, power supplies).
• Develop motor control algorithms and firmware interfaces with embedded software.
• Perform component selection and thermal analysis; collaborate with mechanical engineers.
• Lead high-current PCB layout and design-for-manufacturing considerations.
• Ensure safety by design with safety-critical power functions and FMECA analyses.
• Plan validation via simulation, testing, and thermal mapping on test benches.
• Support manufacturing during industrialization and provide design data packages.
