Infinite Orbits in Toulouse is seeking a skilled GNC Engineer to join our Rendez-Vous team, focusing on developing and improving the Rendez-Vous solution with rigorous systems engineering and problem-solving.

The role will require creating advanced GNC algorithms, integrating them into the spacecraft architecture, and performing sensitivity analyses to quantify performance. You will contribute to ConOps, Safety Concepts, and V&V processes across the mission lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (PhD a plus).
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in GNC/AOCS for satellites.
  • Heritage in at least one satellite mission as part of a GNC/AOCS/Flight Dynamics team.
  • Excellent programming skills with MATLAB/Simulink and autocoding practices; tested on flight software.

Responsabilités

  • Development of state-of-the-art GNC algorithms.
  • Integration of algorithms into the overall architecture with sensors, actuators, and computers.
  • Sensitivity analysis to define GNC performance.
  • Define Rendezvous ConOps and Safety Concepts, including FDIR strategies.
  • Support GNC Validation & Verification activities for Rendezvous solution.

Established in 2017, Infinite Orbits is a NewSpace company, based in Toulouse, pushing the boundaries of in-orbit services with cutting-edge spacecraft driven by its own Rendez-Vous solution, an advanced Autonomous Vision-Based Navigation Solution.

  • "Orbit Guard" provides Inspection and Space Situational Awareness services in GEO. Our first, OG-1 was launched on 1 May 2023, the second is launching in 2025 and the third launching in 2026.
  • Endurance" is a docking service capable of extending the life of GEO telecom satellites, by taking over AOCS takeover for 5 years.
About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated GNC Engineer to join our Rendezvous team in Toulouse. This role is key to the development and enhancement of our Rendezvous solution, contributing directly to the mission's success through systems engineering and problem-solving capabilities.

Job Description
  • Development of state-of-the-art GNC algorithms.
  • Integration of said algorithms into the overall architecture and align with system parameters (sensors, actuators, and computers).
  • Sensitivity analysis to define the performance of the GNC algorithms.
  • Actively participate in the definition of Rendezvous ConOps (Concept of Operations) and Safety Concepts, including Failure Detection, Isolation, and Recovery (FDIR) strategies.
  • Support the development and execution of GNC Validation & Verification processes to ensure the reliability and efficacy of the Rendezvous solution.
  • Aid in Rendezvous and Docking Operations and throughout the lifecycle of the mission.
Requirements
  • Master’s degree or equivalent in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. PhD is a plus.
  • At least 8 years of professional experience in GNC/AOCS systems for satellites.
  • Heritage in at least one successful satellite mission as part of a GNC, AOCS or Flight Dynamics team.
  • Excellent programming skills, with experience in MATLAB/Simulink and autocoding practices. Implemented and verified software on flight computer.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with all levels of staff and external partners.
  • Proficiency in English.
