Pennylane is hiring a Senior Financial Services Legal counsel to lead the legal function of our financial services activities in France. You will design the regulatory path to authorization, align intra-group and outsourcing models, and ensure comprehensive documentation for the ACPR licensing process.

After licensing you will oversee ongoing compliance, product governance, and partnerships, with strong collaboration with product, engineering, and risk teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of relevant experience, including in-house legal at a regulated entity (payments, EMI/PI, bank, lending/credit, etc.), fintech, or BaaS.
• Substantial experience in regulated financial services legal work and cross-functional programmes ownership.
• Senior legal expert in a French ACPR-regulated entity (payments, credit, financing, etc.).
• Hands-on contract experience and knowledge of regulatory environment (arrete du 3 novembre 2014, PSD2, DORA, EBA Guidelines).

Responsabilités

• Design, document and run the legal aspects of corporate governance for the regulated entity.
• Own the FS product perimeter legal design including customer terms, disclosures and pricing documentation.
• Lead outsourcing and third-party risk legal frameworks and audit/readiness for ACPR scrutiny.
• Prepare ACPR interactions and, once licensed, manage ongoing regulatory engagement and internal enablement.
