Tlingit Haida Tribal Business Corporation (THTBC) is seeking a Senior Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Manager to lead enterprise EHS programs that protect people, assets, and compliance across federal contracts. This role balances regulatory requirements with program improvement and operational needs in a dynamic environment.

The Senior EHS Manager partners with Operations, HR, Contracts, and Quality, guiding dispersed teams and contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering (or equivalent).
• 8+ years of progressively responsible EHS experience in complex, dispersed operations.
• 3+ years of EHS leadership or program-management experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations and environmental compliance requirements.
• Experience with incident investigations and corrective action management.
• Ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical operational processes.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to engage stakeholders.
• Excellent organizational and analytical skills; manage multiple locations.
• Proficiency with MS Office and EHS reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise EHS policies and programs across multiple contracts and locations.
• Serve as senior EHS subject matter expert to operations and leadership.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, local requirements and EM 385-1-1 where applicable.
• Integrate EHS into daily operations, proposals, and contract transitions.
• Oversee risk assessments, inspections, audits, and corrective actions.
• Manage incident reporting and investigations with root-cause analysis.
• Develop EHS training, toolbox talks, and safety committees.
• Provide coaching to corporate and site EHS personnel and contractors.
• Oversee environmental compliance programs (hazardous materials, spill response, etc.).
• Monitor subcontractor safety planning and performance.
• Improve EHS reporting and notifications with technology.
• Produce safety metrics and report risks to senior leadership.
