Tenneco Environmental, Health and Safety Manager position is based at our Saint-Jean-de-la-Ruelle site in France. You will define, implement and monitor the HSE policy aligned with strategy, ensuring compliance with French regulations, Tenneco Group standards and ISO 14001/45001/50001.

Fluency in English and French is mandatory. The role requires leadership in risk assessment, incident investigations, audits, training and performance reporting to the Group and regulatory authorities, while

Qualifications

  • Over 10 years in EHS management within multinational settings.
  • Proven track record building safety cultures and reducing risks.
  • Deep knowledge of regulatory requirements and corporate standards.
  • Strong ability to lead audits, trainings, and ISO compliance.
  • Fluent in English; proficiency in French required.

Responsabilités

  • Define, monitor, and analyze HSE performance indicators; propose actions.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement compliance actions.
  • Apply HSE rules and requirements from authorities and the Group.
  • Manage HSE documentation.
  • Investigate workplace accidents, identify root causes, implement corrective actions.
  • Perform HSE reporting to the Group database and authorities.
  • Lead the CSSCT with the Site Director.
  • Conduct internal audits and audits at other Tenneco sites.
  • Train and raise employee awareness on risk prevention.
  • Set objectives for team members and monitor achievement.
  • Conduct performance reviews and development interviews.

Description du poste

The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager will define, implement, and monitor the HSE policy (Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Energy) in line with strategic priorities. The role ensures site compliance with French regulatory requirements, Tenneco Group standards, and ISO certifications (14001, 45001, 50001). Fluency in both French and English is mandatory.

Required Skills & Knowledge
  • A highly experienced Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Manager with over 10 years of experience in developing, implementing and optimizing EHS programs within multinational organizations.
  • Demonstrated expertise in establishing safety culture, leading risk reduction initiatives and ensuring full compliance with regulations and Corporate requirements.
  • Highly proficient in risk assessment, with extensive experience in the analysis, evaluation and mitigation of machinery-related risks, including conformity with applicable directives, standards and safeguarding requirements.
  • Fluent in English, with strong communication and leadership abilities that support effective collaboration at all organizational levels.
  • Strong experience in conducting audits, delivering training programs and maintaining the management system in compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
