Jobtailor is seeking an experienced EHS executive to lead and harmonize environmental, health, and safety management across Europe and globally. The role requires strong regulatory knowledge, audits, and cross-site collaboration, with regular travel to support sites and initiatives.

The candidate will guide BU Directors, promote sustainability, and ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and regional standards, driving continuous improvement and risk mitigation.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in an EHS-related discipline, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in applied EHS functions, including environmental compliance, sustainability, or related roles.
  • Strong applied knowledge of Safety, Health and Environmental regulations and standards.
  • Experience conducting audits and managing regulatory reporting.
  • Excellent project management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CSP, CIH, ISO 14001, CHMM, CES) are a plus.
  • Experience in manufacturing settings; exposure to large, multi-site, international companies.
  • Familiarity with incident management systems, compliance calendars, environmental management systems (EMS) and sustainability reporting frameworks.
  • Ability to analyse data and develop actionable insights.
  • Ability to travel regularly and respond to crises to support operations locally.
  • Position posted in the EU or UK.

Responsabilités

  • Advise, represent, and support the BU General Management in Europe in the implementation and adaptation of the EHS management system across sites.
  • Assist sites in implementing and adapting the EHS policy and management system in line with evolving standards and business needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to EHS Managers and Site Directors.
  • Guide sites in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing required actions and monitor their progress.
  • Establish continuous improvement plans with site teams and resources, in alignment with directives.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to identify gaps and ensure proper execution of ASAT protocols.
  • Support Corporate internal audit activities and assist in action plan follow-up.
  • Verify that development projects adequately incorporate EHS requirements.
  • Organise, coordinate, and maintain regulatory compliance monitoring with other EHS function members.
  • Promote health, safety, and environmental policies through campaigns and training programmes.
  • Represent the company with stakeholders and authorities when required.
  • Involve in global BU projects/initiatives, ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory parameters.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA and local regulations.
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, programmes and initiatives with risk prevention focus.
  • Understand and manage potential health exposures and controls.
  • Maintain knowledge of environmental regulatory parameters.
  • Conduct investigations, inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify gaps.
  • Actively participate in formulating new initiatives and driving sustainable change.
  • Serve as primary liaison between HFS sites and EHS councils.
  • Lead development and execution of BU and corporate initiatives.
  • Monitor and report performance metrics to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on permits, records, and documentation.

Description du poste

Candidate must be fluent in English, able to travel globally, and possess a comprehensive EHS skill set covering EU support and global applications, projects, and oversight for compliance, regulatory, and initiatives. The role focuses 60% on EU Aero and 40% on global business unit projects and activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advise, represent, and support the BU General Management in Europe in the implementation and adaptation of the HFS Business Unit’s EHS management system across the various sites.
  • Assist sites in implementing and adapting the HFS BU’s overall EHS policy and management system in line with evolving standards, regulations, and business needs.
  • Provide guidance and support to EHS Managers and Site Directors.
  • Guide sites in identifying, prioritizing, and implementing required actions (including the HFS global initiative to reduce greenhouse gas emissions) and monitor their progress.
  • Establish continuous improvement plans with the support of site teams and resources, in alignment with Business Unit directives.
  • Conduct regular internal audits to identify gaps and non‑conformities against internal and external standards and ensure proper execution of ASAT protocols.
  • Support Corporate internal audit activities and assist in the implementation and follow‑up of resulting action plans.
  • Verify that development projects (new activities, products, processes, etc.) adequately incorporate EHS requirements.
  • Organise, coordinate, and maintain regulatory compliance monitoring in collaboration with other EHS function members within the Division.
  • Promote occupational health, safety, and environmental policies among all employees through communication campaigns, awareness initiatives, and training programmes.
  • Represent the company, when required, with stakeholders, competent authorities, and professional organisations.
  • Involve in global BU projects/initiatives, ensure compliance with internal standards and external regulatory parameters, and promote prevention and sustainability initiatives across all operations in EH&S.
  • Ensure compliance with country, regional, and local regulations and standards (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Develop and maintain safety policies, procedures, programmes and initiatives with focus on risk prevention, root cause analysis, and sustainable robust engineered solutions.
  • Understand and manage potential health exposures and controls (IH), and apply directives to minimise or eliminate potential hazards.
  • Maintain knowledge of environmental regulatory parameters (waste management, water usage, air quality, chemical handling).
  • Conduct investigations, inspections, audits and risk assessments to identify gaps and improve.
  • Actively participate in formulating new initiatives, best practices, and driving sustainable change.
  • Serve as primary liaison between HFS sites and various EHS corporate councils and authorities.
  • Lead development and execution of Business Unit and corporate initiatives.
  • Monitor and drive performance metrics and prepare detailed reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate environmental, health & safety considerations into business operations and decisions, especially regarding permits, records, and documentation.
  • Train and develop new and existing EHS talent.
