Vibe.co, based in Paris, seeks a senior Data Platform Engineer to own the data backbone—storage, batch compute, and real-time reporting. You will scale petabytes of event data and architect end-to-end pipelines, reporting to the Engineering Manager of Data Platform.

You will collaborate with Product, ML, and Finance, optimize pipelines for cost and latency, and lead on-call reliability. This role is based in Paris with hybrid/work-from-office options and strong equity/compensation perks.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building and operating production data platforms at real scale.
• Deep lakehouse experience with storage (Iceberg/Delta/Hudi) and compute (Spark/DuckDB/Trino).
• Production experience with Dagster, Airflow, or Prefect.
• Proven pipeline improvement story with measurable speed or cost benefits.
• On-call and incident response experience with authored alerts/runbooks.
• Adaptable communication for different audiences.

Responsabilités

• Own tooling and services enabling data-hungry teams to store and access petabyte-scale event data.
• Build in-app reporting on OLAP DB (ClickHouse) and orchestrate data workflows.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize pipelines for cost and latency.
• Lead on-call and write runbooks for reliability.
• Collaborate with Product, ML, and Finance to translate requests into concrete deliverables.
• Set technical contracts with the Front team for the reporting UI.
