Vibe.co is hiring for a senior Data Platform engineer in Paris. You will own the data storage, batch compute, and reporting stack, handling petabyte-scale data and high-throughput messaging.

Working in a hybrid setup, you will collaborate with Product, ML, and Finance teams, optimize performance and costs, and manage on-call incidents. Preferred candidates have 5+ years of experience in production data platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in production data platforms at scale.
• Expertise in lakehouse storage and compute technologies.
• Experience with modern orchestrators and incident response.
• Strong communication skills.

• Building and maintaining data storage and compute tools (Spark, DuckDB, Trino, ClickHouse).
• Orchestrating batch and real-time jobs, optimizing performance and cost.

Join Vibe's Data Platform team responsible for the entire data backbone including storage, batch compute, and reporting stack. Manage petabyte-scale data and 500,000+ messages per second. Own systems end to end from stakeholder communication to schema design and incident management.

building and maintaining data storage and compute tools (Spark, DuckDB, Trino, ClickHouse), orchestrating batch and real-time jobs, optimizing performance and cost, on-call incident response, and collaborating cross-functionally with Product, ML, and Finance teams.

Requirements

5+ years experience in production data platforms at scale, expertise in lakehouse storage and compute technologies, experience with modern orchestrators, on-call and incident response experience, and strong communication skills.

Location & Salary

Paris, hybrid work with 3 days in office weekly. Salary range €88,000–€120,000.
