Job summary

Jobgether in France partners with a fintech specialist seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) focused on onboarding and identity verification. You will design, build, and operate scalable backend services and APIs to support KYC/KYB, identity checks, and automated compliance workflows.

You will collaborate with Product and Engineering in an international, fast-growing environment, delivering reliable onboarding capabilities for direct customers, embedded partners, and partners’ end users

Qualifications

• Backend software engineer with strong JVM language skills.
• Experience designing microservices in distributed systems.
• Relational DBs (PostgreSQL) and event-driven architectures (Kafka).
• Cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• CI/CD and IaC concepts.
• Observability practices (logging, metrics, tracing).
• Proficient with Jira/Confluence and Git workflows.
• Strong communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Fintech/payments domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate backend services for onboarding and identity verification.
• Develop APIs and orchestration for KYC/KYB, identity checks, sanctions screening, and risk assessments.
• Support onboarding for direct customers, embedded partners, and licensed partners.
• Build scalable integrations for large-volume onboarding via APIs and webhooks.
• Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Integrate third-party identity verification and RegTech providers like SumSub and Orbis.
• Work with Salesforce to integrate into workflows.
• Contribute to compliant, scalable, and maintainable systems.
• Participate in engineering practices and continuous improvement.
