Job summary

Checkout.com is hiring a Senior Software Engineer I in Paris to join the Identity Verification team. You will design and build scalable identity verification features within a microservices architecture, deploying production-ready solutions and collaborating with product, DevOps, Data Science, and risk teams.

You’ll drive end-to-end ownership, mentor peers, and contribute to a culture of technical excellence while delivering high-quality code in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer science, engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years as a Software Engineer with complex, large-scale apps.
• Strong C# .NET skills and software development principles.
• Experience in agile environments and delivering high-quality code.
• French language proficiency at least B2 level.
• Interest or expertise in AI technologies.

Responsibilities

• Drive design and development of scalable applications for identity verification in a microservices setup.
• Own features end-to-end from conceptualization to deployment and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Risk across teams to leverage data science.
• Promote technical excellence and cross-team knowledge sharing.
• Work with product management across a large engineering community.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code on high-impact systems.
• Build and operate systems with high resilience and service levels.
• Mentor junior team members and support their growth.
