Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Backend Engineer in France to join a small autonomous team focused on scalable backend services and analytics-driven products. You will design and implement high-performance microservices, APIs, and data-intensive systems using Node.js and TypeScript.

Collaborate with product, data, and frontend teams in an international environment, with AI-assisted coding tools integrated into the workflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional experience building backend services in production.
• Strong proficiency with Node.js and TypeScript and modern backend practices.
• Hands-on experience with relational and non-relational databases (MySQL, MongoDB, ClickHouse).
• Strong API design, data modeling, and web architecture knowledge.
• Performance-focused mindset with latency, scalability, and data processing awareness.
• Experience using AI-assisted coding tools integrated into workflow.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment (Docker, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Experience with unit/integration/end-to-end testing.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services and APIs.
• Work with real-time and historical datasets to power analytics products.
• Optimize queries, latency, and system performance across databases.
• Collaborate with product, data, and frontend teams to implement features.
• Contribute to testing strategies, deployment processes, and CI/CD practices.
