Job summary

Shift Technology is seeking an experienced Lead AI Engineer to drive the LLMOps roadmap within the Data & AI Platform Engineering team. You will lead a small team, design production-grade agentic workflows, and collaborate with Data Science to align priorities and scale AI capabilities.

The role blends hands-on coding with leadership, spanning tool calling, MCP, RAG, and reference architectures. English fluency is required; French is a plus.

Qualifications

• Production-grade agentic systems experience required.
• Proven ability to ship AI-driven platform capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Design and ship production-grade agentic workflows (LLM orchestration, tool calling, MCP, RAG).
• Own LLMOps standards: evaluation, prompt/versioning, tracing, cost governance.
• Evolve ML platform on Databricks-based stack; CI/CD to serving; monitoring.
• Run and optimize Open-Weight models; coordinate with Cloud Ops for GPUs.
