Job summary

MLabs Ltd seeks a Senior AI Data Engineer (Agentic Systems) to design and build multi-agent architectures with planning, memory, and tool use. You will operate MCP servers and develop secure schemas, workflows, and observability. Strong Python skills, API design, and experience with LLM evaluation are essential.

You will mentor junior engineers and help scale agentic platforms from prototype to production, while focusing on cost and performance in a dynamic, cross-region environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with at least 2+ years in production AI/ML systems.
• Hands-on experience with agentic architectures, tool calling, and LangGraph (or equivalent).
• Practical experience with Model Context Protocol (MCP) servers.
• Demonstrated experience designing and operating LLM evaluation pipelines.
• Strong Python proficiency and API design skills.
• Familiarity with retrieval systems including vector databases and embedding-based retrieval.

Responsibilities

• Design and build single and multi-agent systems with planning, memory, and tool use.
• Build and operate MCP servers with secure schemas and permissions.
• Develop agentic workflows using LangGraph or equivalent frameworks.
• Manage prompts, structured outputs, and tool calling via SDKs.
• Define and run LLM evaluation pipelines for quality, latency, cost, and regressions.
• Build reliability infrastructure including logging, tracing and retries.
• Optimize performance and cost from prototype to production.
• Mentor junior engineers and establish agentic best practices.
