Quandela is seeking a hands‑on Process Engineer to bridge Advanced R&D and Production for semiconductor fabrication. You will focus on ICP/RIE dry etching, PECVD deposition, and metal evaporation, translating R&D blocks into robust production processes.

You will collaborate with R&D and manufacturing teams to improve process capability, yield and throughput, while ensuring rigorous documentation and safe cleanroom operations.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or PhD in Semiconductor Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Micro/Nanotechnology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands‑on experience with semiconductor fabrication in a cleanroom environment.
• Strong knowledge of dry etching, ideally ICP‑RIE.
• Experience with PECVD, physical vapor deposition / metal evaporation and lithography.

Responsabilités

• Develop, optimize and stabilize semiconductor fabrication processes focusing on ICP / RIE, PECVD and metal evaporation.
• Validate and qualify new fabrication equipment and processes.
• Define process windows, recipes, operating conditions and acceptance criteria.
• Use DoE to understand process sensitivities and optimize performance.
• Improve repeatability, robustness and wafer-to-wafer homogeneity.
• Prepare processes and equipment for larger wafer sizes and production volumes.
• Act as interface between Advanced R&D and Production.
• Convert R&D blocks into stable, manufacturable processes.
• Assess manufacturability, scalability and risks before transfer to production.
• Lead PFMEA for critical steps and translate outcomes into controls and documentation.
• Support technology transfer through clear documentation and training.
• Monitor and improve process performance, yield and throughput.
• Establish process checks and SPC where relevant.
• Detect drifts, investigate deviations and implement corrective actions.
• Lead root‑cause analysis for yield losses and excursions.
• Define KPIs and contribute to continuous improvement.
• Present safe, disciplined and efficient cleanroom practices.
