Job summary

Joko is seeking a Legal Counsel to be the first point of contact for every team, handling contracts, data protection, employment matters and new projects. You will report to the Head of Legal and work closely with cross-functional teams to provide practical legal input from day one.

You will draft, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, tools, merchants, freelancers and partners; lead GDPR initiatives with Privacy counsel; translate business needs into compliant processes.

Qualifications

• 2 to 4 years of experience in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal team.
• Experience in French employment law is a strong plus.
• Admission to the Paris Bar is a plus.
• Fluent in French and English.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for every team, advising on contracts, data protection, employment, and new projects.
• Draft, review and negotiate contracts with suppliers, tools, merchants, freelancers and partners; improve templates.
• Run and contribute to GDPR programmes with the Product & Privacy counsel.
