Ruby Labs is seeking a Data Analytics Engineer to build and maintain the analytical data layer powering decision‑making. You will model data with dbt, write scalable SQL, and manage deployments to cloud warehouses such as BigQuery and ClickHouse.

You will ensure data quality, document datasets and lineage, and collaborate with analysts, engineers, and product teams to deliver trustworthy reporting and insights.

Qualifications

• Strong SQL experience and analytical modeling skills.
• Hands-on dbt: models, tests, docs, macros.
• Experience with cloud data warehouses such as BigQuery or ClickHouse.
• Understanding of data modeling patterns and ELT/ETL concepts.
• Familiarity with data quality frameworks and validation logic.
• Ability to translate complex business processes into clean analytical datasets.

Responsabilités

• Design, build, and maintain dbt models (staging, core, marts) based on business needs.
• Develop scalable SQL transformations and optimize query performance.
• Implement data quality tests and maintain data reliability.
• Create and maintain documentation for datasets, lineage, and rules.
• Collaborate with Data Engineers to improve ingestion patterns and source readiness.
• Partner with Analysts and Product teams to translate requirements into clean data models.
• Monitor pipelines and resolve issues to ensure consistent reporting.
• Support governance: naming conventions, taxonomy, schemas, metrics definitions.
