Job summary

Jobgether is partnering with a healthcare technology company to hire a Backend Engineer (Python) based in France. You will build Python services and backend workflows for an AI-powered voice platform aiding older adults, handling enrollment, scheduling, and follow-ups.

The role emphasizes robust backend design, data security, and scalable cloud deployments. You will work with a distributed European team, apply AI/voice tech concepts, and own features from design to production while collaborating

Qualifications

• Production engineering experience in backend services.
• Proficiency in Python with HTTP APIs using FastAPI or similar; asynchronous programming.
• Experience with PostgreSQL or relational databases; data modeling and migrations.
• Experience API integration and background jobs with retries and timeouts.
• Good software engineering practices: readable code, automated tests, code reviews.
• Cloud deployment of containerized services; operating production systems.
• End-to-end ownership from design to release; cross-functional collaboration.
• Clear written and spoken English; collaborate across distributed teams.
• Willingness to work across CET/CEST hours for US collaboration.
• Nice-to-have: GCP, Terraform, OpenTelemetry; applied AI and voice tech exposure.
• Healthcare technology exposure is a plus.
• Spanish or Portuguese language skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Python-based backend services for AI-powered voice platforms in healthcare.
• Extend APIs, data models, and background workflows for enrollment, scheduling, and follow-ups.
• Integrate with EHRs and clinical data platforms; ensure secure handling of patient data.
• Coordinate care workflows: appointments, medication refills, and follow-up actions.
• Build resilient distributed systems with proper handling of edge cases and retries.
• Write tests, review code, and investigate production issues with logs and metrics.
• Deploy and maintain containerized services in the cloud; enable safe incremental releases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Europe to align on requirements.
