Job summary

Shift Technology in Paris is seeking a backend software engineer to own production-ready integrations and scalable services within the Agentic squad. You’ll collaborate with the US Data Science team to ensure AI models and recovery agents integrate reliably with external services.

The role emphasizes API design, cloud infrastructure, and strong software discipline, with opportunities for frontend support as needed and a flexible remote/hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in backend software engineering focused on production-grade architecture.
• Hands-on experience designing, consuming, and scaling REST/gRPC APIs.
• Proven experience with Object-Oriented Programming, ideally C#/ .NET Core or Python.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and modern microservice architecture.
• Strong testing mindset: unit/integration/load tests; CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, optimize, and maintain robust integrations with third-party tools, vendor platforms, and recovery agents.
• Design, test, and scale backend services and integrations to meet production standards.
• Apply engineering best practices for long-term system stability and maintainability.
• Set up end-to-end solutions, microservices/infrastructure, and production launch support.
• Provide UI/UX assistance to support end-to-end usability of agentic workflows.
