Joko is seeking an AI Software Engineer to own the development of Joko AI, our shopping agent. You will work with the CTO and a small team to push the boundaries of applied AI in a production environment, combining research and engineering to deliver meaningful improvements.

You will design agent architecture, build robust evaluation, expand tool capabilities, and scale data pipelines as the catalog grows. A strong English fluency and a pragmatic, collaborative mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with senior or staff level ownership.
• Production AI systems experience and a focus on code quality and testing.
• Deep familiarity with agentic frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph) and AI tooling.
• English fluency (written and spoken) is essential.
• Strong bias for practical, scalable solutions and fast iteration.

Responsabilités

• Own the architecture of our agentic system and push the boundaries of what the AI assistant can do.
• Design and run robust evaluation frameworks to measure performance and catch regressions.
• Expand tools and capabilities for Joko AI: web search, vector search, catalog lookups.
• Handle data at scale: ingest, standardize, enrich catalog data.
• Leverage signals for personalization to improve user experience.
• Prototype and experiment to ship features rapidly based on feedback.
• Stay ahead of AI models and frameworks and translate into concrete improvements.
• Fine-tune models to improve quality, latency, and costs for production.
• Ensure runtime scalability to support hundreds of thousands of users.
• Collaborate with Product to shape the future of AI-assisted shopping.
