MKS Instruments, Inc. is seeking a Desktop Technician to join Jon’s team in Beaune La Rolande, France. The role covers Beaune La Rolande, Saint Ouen L’aumône, and Brigueuil, providing IT support to internal and external customers within the assigned area.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of IT technical support experience, fluent in English and French, strong communication and customer service skills, and a proven ability to collaborate on projects and manage IT vendors.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field.
• 3–5 years of experience in IT technical support.
• Fluent in English and French (reading and speaking).
• Strong communication skills, oral and written.
• Excellent customer service orientation.
• Proven track record of collaborating on projects and working with diverse teams.

Responsabilités

• Provide IT support for all MKS applications and adhere to SLAs.
• Serve as the reference point for the Help Desk applications and document all activities.
• Collaborate with global Field Services, applications and infrastructure teams to resolve IT issues promptly.
• Participate in IT projects directed by the IT Field Services Manager.
• Manage IT vendors (local, regional or global) and control costs, including purchase requisitions.
• Respond to customer requests for assistance with timely status updates within SLAs.
• Identify, troubleshoot, repair software and hardware errors and problems.
• Diagnose and meticulously document reported problems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on computers, phones, printers, mobile devices and other IT equipment.
• Ensure LAN, wireless and VPN connectivity and resolve network issues.
• Manage IT asset inventory and ensure compliance with standards.
• Conduct IT onboarding activities for new employees.
• Provide office and workstation setup and relocation support.
• Train customers on new and existing applications.
• Travel as needed to support all sites in the assigned geographic area.
