Job summary

The City of Natchez is seeking a Laborer I w/CDL for the Public Works department. This full-time position performs semi-skilled manual labor and operates maintenance vehicles under supervision.

Responsibilities include repairing and constructing streets and structures, demolition, landscaping, welding, and other duties as assigned. A CDL (A or B) is required and safety screenings are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High School or GED equivalent required.
• Must pass drug screening and background check.
• Commercial Driver’s License (A or B) required.

Responsibilities

• Driving maintenance vehicles.
• Repairing and constructing streets, buildings, and other structures.
• Demolition, landscaping, loading and unloading materials.
• Welding.
• Other duties of similar nature as assigned.
