Job summary

Mistral, a leader in full-stack AI solutions, is seeking a Forward Software Engineer to design and ship agentic/GenAI systems to production. You will own end-to-end delivery, from prototype to production, collaborating with researchers and customer-facing teams.

You should have 5+ years building production software, solid NodeJS/TypeScript/React or Python, and experience with Docker, Kubernetes and cloud services. A security mindset and curiosity are valued.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production software, with at least one agentic or GenAI system shipped to production.
• Fluent English; strong communication with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Experience deploying and running what you build: Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Security background in application, cloud, or AI security is a plus (e.g., prompt injection, securing agents, supply chain).
• Open‑source contributions in agents or LLMs are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build AI systems end to end, from prototype to production.
• Design the agent architecture: orchestration, tool use, memory, retrieval, and interfaces.
• Build across the stack: backend services, APIs, and user interfaces for agents.
• Ensure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency with real load and monitoring.
• Work with researchers and customer-facing teams to turn hard problems into scalable systems.
