Mistral is seeking a Forward Software Engineer to build the systems behind complex AI problems. You will work with Applied AI teams to decide how to solve hard challenges, ship solutions to production, and collaborate with customer-facing teams.

You will focus on agentic/GenAI systems, design robust architectures, and push for production-ready quality with a founder mindset. Security, observability, and end-to-end ownership are expected from day one.

Competenze

5+ years building production software with at least one agentic or GenAI system in production.
Full-stack shipping ability: backend services, APIs, and customer-facing interfaces.
Autonomous problem-solver who owns outcomes and can communicate clearly with technical and non-technical audiences.

Mansioni

Build AI systems end to end from prototype to production.
Design the agent architecture: orchestration, tool use, memory, retrieval, and interfaces with target systems.
Develop across the stack from backend to user interfaces used to work with agents.
Turn successful patterns into reusable platforms for multiple customers.
Ensure systems handle real load: throughput, latency, cost, and failure recovery from the start.
Incorporate security into agents: permissions, sandboxing, prompt-injection defenses, audit trails.
Create evaluation loops with task-level evals, tracing, and quality checks before customers.
Collaborate with researchers, engineers, and customer teams to turn hard problems into reliable systems.
