Arm Limited is seeking a Principal Software Engineer on the Sophia Antipolis campus to lead a firmware team and advance Arm's AGI CPU software ecosystem. You will work with distributed teams, drive architecture and software stack development for Arm reference platforms, and uphold high standards of efficiency, quality, and predictability.

The role emphasizes leadership, hands-on firmware work, and collaboration across disciplines in a hybrid environment within France.

Qualifications

• Experience leading and line managing an experienced firmware team.
• Strong background in embedded C programming with debugging and optimization skills.
• Expertise in Linux development including OS fundamentals, device drivers and kernel modules.
• Familiarity with Agile development, CI and automated testing; experience across full software lifecycle.
• Experience collaborating with open-source projects such as Linux kernel, TF-A, TF-M, UEFI EDK II, OpenBMC.

Responsabilités

• Provide technical leadership to the firmware team and drive performance improvements.
• Lead and manage the team to achieve goals and roadmap commitments.
• Analyze specs and break down tasks to implement project plans.
• Collaborate with technical leads, technology managers, and distributed teams to deliver roadmaps.
• Contribute to software design and creation of stacks for Arm reference platforms and improve software efficiency and quality.
