Palo Alto Networks is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead cyber risk management engagements for client SOC and information security teams. You will work with admins to C-suite stakeholders, shaping priorities and guiding security posture improvements across security operations.

The role requires senior consulting experience, strong governance knowledge, and a proven ability to drive strategic roadmaps while delivering client value. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or higher in a relevant field; or Master’s with 6+ years, or PhD with 3+ years.
• 8+ years in information security; at least 3 years in consulting focused on SOC/security operations for large orgs.
• Deep technical knowledge of SIEM, EDR/XDR, NGFWs, and Vulnerability Management.
• Experience as a security advisor and managing client stakeholder relationships.
• Ability to travel up to 30% as needed.

Responsabilités

• Lead comprehensive security audits of client security operations programs, including org, processes, and technology.
• Analyze security monitoring and alerting to perform a gap analysis on asset visibility, log coverage, and detection.
• Conduct cyber risk assessments using MITRE ATT&CK, NIST CSF, and ISO 27001/2 frameworks.
• Utilize CLI and GUI security tools to perform technical validation of controls.
• Assess client security architecture and integration of monitoring and protection tools.
• Advise on and develop strategic roadmaps with actionable recommendations for SOC maturity.
• Collaborate with prospective clients to scope opportunities, including proposals and statements of work.
