Finatal, a Paris-based private equity firm, is seeking a senior professional to lead evaluation and execution of lower-to-mid-market buyouts across Europe, working closely with Partners and portfolio teams. You will build relationships with intermediaries and management, oversee financial modelling, due diligence, and investment committee materials, and help negotiate transactions.

Finatal is partnered with a global lower to middle-market private equity fund focused on acquiring and transforming businesses across Europe and North America. The firm specialises in lower mid-market buyouts, complex carve-out transactions, special situations and operational value creation opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly active investment team, playing a key role across origination, execution and portfolio value creation while working closely with Partners, senior management and portfolio company leadership teams.

The Role:

• Lead the evaluation and execution of lower to mid-market buyout opportunities across Europe.
• Develop and maintain relationships with intermediaries, management teams and corporate counterparties to support deal origination efforts.
• Assess investment opportunities, with a particular focus on carve-outs, special situations and complex businesses.
• Lead financial modelling, valuation analysis and due diligence processes.
• Prepare and present investment committee materials and investment recommendations.
• Support negotiations and transaction execution alongside Partners and senior stakeholders.
• Work closely with portfolio company management teams on strategic and operational value creation initiatives.
• Support portfolio company boards and oversee value creation plans across the portfolio.
• Mentor and develop junior investment professionals.

Requirements:

• 6-10 years' experience in Private Equity.
• Based in Paris, or able to commute regularly, with the expectation of being in the Paris office the majority of the week.
• Strong track record of executing transactions from origination through to completion.
• Experience evaluating and investing in complex situations, including carve-outs, special situations or operationally intensive businesses.
• Excellent financial modelling, valuation and analytical capabilities.
• Strong commercial judgement and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership capabilities.
