Job summary

EggAI is seeking an accountable architecture lead to design a two-part AI platform: a Policy-Control Plane and a managed Runtime. You will guide the architecture across engineering, security, audit, risk and client architecture functions, ensuring governance and production readiness.

You will record decisions, secure client approvals, and mentor a delivery team of platform engineers to implement a sound, auditable architecture with durable evidence.

Qualifications

• Led accountable architecture for production systems.
• Delivered cloud platforms in regulated environments with governance.
• Deep knowledge of cloud networking, identity, secrets, Kubernetes and managed services (Azure preferred).
• Hands-on experience with API gateways, OAuth/OIDC, and policy as code.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture of the AI Control Plane and AI Runtime, ensuring alignment with client standards.
• Define interfaces and contracts; decide where controls are enforced across gateway, control plane, runtime, and client services.
• Maintain architecture decision records (ADRs) and capture deviations for client decisions.
• Lead design reviews and ensure engineering outputs meet governance and risk requirements.
• Guide production readiness, including recovery and fault exercises, with clear evidence for client control owners.
• Prepare design handover and documentation for client maintenance teams.
