belk is seeking a Human Resources Lead for its store team. The role drives sales and delivers a positive customer experience by providing a best-in-class associate experience. You will lead hiring, training, and retention activities, while building effective weekly schedules.

This hourly position includes monthly bonus eligibility and requires collaborating with store leaders to ensure associate success and achievement of store objectives. A strong People-centric approach is essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Retail Leadership/HR Management experience.
• Strong customer service orientation.
• Ability to take ownership and drive store success.

Responsabilités

• Demonstrate ownership and accountability in achieving store objectives and key metrics.
• Fill open positions by recruiting, reviewing applications, interviewing, background checks, and hiring.
• Conduct engaging onboarding to prepare new hires for service, selling, and operations.
• Lead retention and engagement activities; foster a positive store culture.
• Maintain associate data integrity across systems and files for compliance and payroll.
• Create effective schedules aligning with talent, traffic, and business needs; approve timecards and monitor attendance.
• Participate in weekly leadership planning; use talent data to highlight successes and opportunities.
• Provide guidance and support to store team and resolve associate concerns with confidentiality.
• Handle daily cash office functions, deposits, change orders, and audits.
• Lead shortage control and ensure asset protection and safety compliance.
