What’s it all about?

Visa Europe seeks a People Advisor Manager to provide HR advice and guidance to colleagues. This role collaborates with leadership, colleagues, and People Business Partners (PBPs) to address HR needs, supporting HR programs and services across Europe. We're looking for an enthusiastic, organized individual passionate about delivering great employee experiences and interested in broadening their HR expertise in a growth-oriented culture.

The successful candidate will navigate challenges in the dynamic payments sector and adapt in a fast-paced environment, employing innovative HR practices to enable organizational growth.

What we expect of you day to day

  • Support PBPs with executing people plans, programs, and initiatives across Europe, providing consultative HR support and partnering with stakeholders.
  • Coach and advise managers on HR policies, demonstrating pragmatism, flexibility, and the ability to challenge when necessary.
  • Collaborate with Centers of Excellence and PBPs to implement People and business programs.
  • Develop and execute best practices to promote employee engagement and high performance.
  • Provide coaching on HR solutions like Performance Management, Change Management, Talent Management, Leadership Development, Talent Acquisition, and Rewards.
  • Represent Europe as the Europe Lead on global HR projects, liaising with cross-functional teams and communicating project outcomes.
  • Proactively resolve issues, addressing problem areas collaboratively with PBP and ER teams.
  • Maintain current knowledge of UK and European employment law and escalate issues requiring legal advice.
  • Act as liaison with local Works Councils, supporting elections, meetings, and communication of HR updates.
  • Coordinate local compliance and HR processes, including occupational health, surveys, and work permits.
  • Oversee local benefits administration and support HR operations like document management and HRIS reporting.
  • This is a hybrid position; in-office days will be confirmed by your manager.

Qualifications

  • Fluency in French and English (written and verbal) is essential.
  • Understanding of French employment law and HR compliance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, Law, or related field.
  • Experience in HR generalist advisory or analysis roles.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR systems (e.g., Workday, SAP).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Collaborative and proactive problem-solving approach.
