Lever, Inc. is seeking a Payment Analyst in France to join a newly formed Payment Operations function.

You will own diagnostics of the checkout and payment funnel, investigate declines and anomalies, and translate complex payment data into actionable insights for Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Fraud teams. The role offers autonomy, dashboards, alerts, and opportunities to shape processes from the ground up.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with payment funnels and operations, including declines, FX, and fraud basics.
• Demonstrated ability to perform root-cause analysis on funnel issues and distinguish technical from behavioral causes.
• Strong data interpretation and clear communication to non-technical stakeholders.
• Proactive mindset with ability to explore issues independently in ambiguous environments.

Responsabilités

• Take diagnostic ownership of checkout and payment funnel health, including alerts and defects.
• Lead root-cause investigations into funnel drop-offs and declines with cross-functional teams.
• Analyze authorization rates, decline codes, and other funnel metrics to identify bottlenecks.
• Investigate performance across multiple PSPs and identify differences or outages needing attention.
• Prepare regular funnel reporting and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Partner with Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Fraud teams to resolve payment issues.
• Communicate findings clearly to stakeholders without deep payments expertise.
• Build dashboards, alerts, and reporting to increase visibility into funnel performance.
• Establish best practices for payment funnel health within the team.
• Work creatively in evolving processes where playbooks may not exist.
