Job summary

SumUp is expanding in France and seeking a field sales representative in Paris, starting January 2027. This 100% field-based role focuses on meeting merchants, identifying needs and guiding them from first contact to signing.

You will drive new business through direct prospecting and product demonstrations in your Paris area. You’ll build relationships with restaurant owners, craftspeople, and local businesses, while exceeding ambitious targets.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in cold prospecting.
• Comfortable approaching prospects who do not know SumUp.
• Enjoy field sales, direct prospecting and human interaction.
• Ability to quickly build trust with new clients.
• Strong verbal communication, energy and persuasive ability.
• Fluent French with English level for internal discussions.
• Previous cold prospecting experience is essential.

Responsibilities

• Directly prospect merchants in your area (restaurants, crafts, self-employed).
• Understand needs and present SumUp solutions.
• Deliver demonstrations of products.
• Negotiate and close sales in the field.
• Manage the entire sales cycle from first contact to signing.
• Develop area through structured prospecting and tracking results.
