Job summary

OpenAI is seeking an Applied AI Engineer in Paris to partner with leading organizations to design, build, and deploy AI systems that deliver measurable business outcomes. You will combine deep technical judgment with hands-on engineering to move from use-case selection to production launch and scale.

You will write and debug code, build evaluation systems, resolve complex integrations, and guide decisions on model behavior, reliability, latency, cost, safety, and governance, with success

Qualifications

• Track record designing, building, and delivering AI/ML systems in enterprise environments.
• Fluent in French and English.
• Strong Python proficiency across AI application stack.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and deploy AI systems that solve real customer problems and deliver measurable outcomes.
• Work hands-on to create prototypes, evaluation harnesses, and production accelerators.
• Make technical decisions across models, retrieval, data, latency, cost, safety, and governance.
• Help customers progress from prototype to reliable production deployments.
