Waypoint Maine, Inc. is hiring Direct Support Professionals to help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities lead fuller lives. The role emphasizes dignity, privacy, and respectful interactions while supporting independence in daily activities and community participation.

You will document progress, follow care plans, and collaborate with a team to promote safety and well-being. A valid driver’s license and CRMA/Safety Care certification are required where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals to develop independence and community participation.
• Build safe, collaborative rapport and plan activities with goals.
• Respect privacy and confidentiality of participants.
• Encourage self-determination and self-advocacy.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records as required.
• Provide personal care assistance as needed with dignity.
• Assist with household tasks and meal preparation.
• Coordinate transportation to activities and appointments.
• Follow professional recommendations and service plans.
• Complete trainings and maintain required certifications.
• Promote teamwork and professional conduct.
