YAI is seeking a Direct Support Professional in the Apt area of France to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Responsibilities include providing direct care, ensuring wellness, and facilitating community activities.

Candidates should have a high school diploma, some experience in the I/DD field preferred, and may need a valid driver’s license. Both full-time and part-time positions are available with flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Work or life experience in the I/DD field is a plus for DSP 1, but not mandatory.
• For DSP 2 positions, at least 1–2 years of experience in the I/DD field is needed.
• Valid NY State Driver's License may be required depending on the position.
• Tuberculosis test is mandatory for most positions.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care services, including counseling and training in ADLs.
• Ensure health, safety, and wellness of the people supported.
• Support with intimate care functions.
• Build and maintain positive relationships.
• Complete mandatory training and apply the skills learned.
• Facilitate community integration and recreational activities.
