Job summary

Seven Hills Foundation is seeking compassionate Direct Support Professionals (Child Care Specialists) to work with youth in a residential setting. You will ensure safety, build positive relationships, teach life skills, and support trauma-informed treatment using the ACORN model.

You will supervise students, facilitate daily routines, and document notes while maintaining boundaries and professionalism in a structured environment.

Qualifications

• Provide Direct Care & Support to youth in a residential setting.
• Ensure safety, supervision and well-being of students at all times.
• Build professional relationships while maintaining boundaries.
• Teach healthy behaviors, hygiene and life skills.
• Support trauma-informed treatment (ACORN model) and routine.

Responsibilities

• Maintain structure and routine; supervise students with constant awareness.
• Facilitate daily schedules, activities and transitions.
• Conduct room checks and safety monitoring.
• Transport students to appointments and activities as needed.
• Apply CPI nonviolent crisis intervention when necessary.
• Use de-escalation strategies to promote positive behavior.
• Document shift notes and communicate updates to supervisors.
