Vanderheyden Hall Inc. in Troy, NY seeks a Direct Support Professional (DSP) for the day shift in a Youth Group Home.

You will assist individuals to become more independent, provide direct care, and help with daily routines in a safe, therapeutic environment. Responsibilities include following individual treatment plans, administering medications per policy, transporting individuals as needed, and maintaining accurate logs and communications.

Qualifications

• Proof of High School Diploma/GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean MVR.
• Medication certification within the provisional period.
• Ability to write legibly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with other disciplines and individuals served.
• Ability to perform physical interventions.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Maintain a safe and therapeutic care environment.
• Provide direct care to individuals per agency policy.
• Supervise daily schedules and life skills activities.
• Dispense medication per agency policy.
• Transport individuals safely as assigned.
• Assist individuals with tasks per treatment plan.
• Participate in treatment team or recommendations.
• Assist in personal care of individuals.
• Maintain appropriate boundaries.
• Complete logs and documentation as required.
