Greystar is seeking a skilled maintenance professional to oversee and perform mechanical work across the community at Neuse Landing in New Bern, NC. This full-time role requires hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors to uphold Greystar standards.

You will handle work orders, make-ready units, manage safety, and ensure resident satisfaction while contributing to the community’s overall upkeep and safety programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; related maintenance experience.
• Must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by state law.
• EPA certifications Type I and II or Universal for HVAC work.
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively.
• Proficient with Windows, Office, and property management software.

Responsabilités

• Answer and complete resident work orders promptly.
• Oversee make-ready process for vacant units.
• Develop cleanliness standards for grounds and common areas.
• Inspect work by others and contractors to ensure quality.
• Maintain inventory and coordinate supplies within budget.
• Participate in safety meetings and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Assist with budget development for repairs and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by repairing rather than replacing when feasible.
• Communicate with residents professionally.
