Advocate Health is seeking a registered nurse for the 4thSurgery Med Surg Unit. This 45-bed unit delivers pre- and post-operative care for adults and geriatrics. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, with 3 x 12-hour night shifts, 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

You will apply the nursing process, monitor patient conditions, document in EHR, promote safety, and collaborate with the care team. Required: RN license with BLS, minimum 1 year nursing experience; BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with state privilege; BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsabilités

• Engage in governance and quality initiatives to improve care.
• Utilize nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement, and evaluate care.
• Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, and collaborate with the care team.
• Uphold a culture of safety and document in the EHR.
• May administer medications and therapies per protocol.
• Maintain age-appropriate care across the lifespan.
