Atrium Health Mercy PACU in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Registered Nurse to provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care in the PACU. You will monitor patients, manage anesthesia side effects, administer medications, document meticulously, and assist with discharge planning and family education.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal and clinical skills, critical thinking, and the ability to work in a collaborative team. Some call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
• Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association.
• ACLS required.
• Previous ICU, PACU or ER nursing experience strongly preferred.

Registered Nurse (RN) – Atrium Health Mercy PACU

Our 27-bed unit provides both Phase I and Phase II post‑anesthesia care for patients undergoing surgical procedures including orthopedic, spine, bariatric, general, vascular and general surgeries. Primary job responsibilities include close physiological monitoring, management of anesthesia side effects, administration of medications, completion of accurate and timely documentation, discharge planning, patient and family education, adherence to established policies and standards, and collaboration with other members of the healthcare team.

We’re Looking For:
